Rene Altervain—Chief Financial Officer

Rene Altervain joined a local pharmacy in 2014 in the role of Controller and Acting CFO. A few of his main tasks include managing and disseminating payroll and 401K for a workforce of 70 employees, as well as tax planning. He handles monthly and year-end closings across company subsidiaries and assembles sale force commissions for international employees. He is most passionate about helping people become successful within their businesses, resulting in his clients earning more money and keeping it. Simply put, his main focus is assisting small businesses—and he thoroughly enjoys doing so.

Prior to working as a controller and CFO in the health care industry, Rene gained experience at a luxury river cruise company based in Los Angeles, working as the company’s Controller, handling international operations. He was the CFO and COO of a small business in the tourism industry. He also worked as a Controller in the healthcare industry from 2006 to 2008 before reprising his role in 2014. Today, his main niche is technology, working with clients involved in programming, online business, and software development. He also has an interest in property management. Some of his most recent projects include:

Rene studied at the Institut Supérior du Commerce in Paris, France, where he earned a Diplôme, MBA Équivalent. When he’s not working, he enjoys traveling to foreign countries and learning their customs, as well as hiking, skiing, spinning, and spending time with friends.
